Frequently asked questions

Does the Okanagan have radon?

Yes. The entire Okanagan Valley is considered a radon hotspot because of its soil and bedrock. Homes in Kelowna, West Kelowna, Lake Country, Vernon, Peachland, and Summerland are all at risk of elevated radon levels.

How do I test for radon?

The only way to know your home’s radon level is to test. A monitor is placed on the lowest lived-in level of your house. Short-term tests (2–7 days) give quick results, while long-term tests (90 days) provide the most accurate average.

How much does testing cost?

We offer affordable options depending on the type of test. Both include setup instructions, certified results, and clear next steps if your radon level is above Health Canada’s guideline.

How long does it take?

Short-term tests take just a few days, while long-term tests run for at least 90 days to capture a seasonal average. We’ll help you choose the best option for your home.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is calculated based on your location and the items in your order. You will always know the shipping price before you purchase.
